Do y’all ever think that the cats make bets on what their warrior names will be. Like Blackpaw obviously knew he was gonna be named Blackfoot, it was probably a joke ever since he was little, but some cats might’ve been like “noooo Brokenstar wouldn’t go for the obvious” and then Brokenstar calls out his warrior name and Blackfoot goes “I FUCKING KNEW IT, YOU OWE ME TWELVE SQUIRRELS FERNSHADE!”

one of the funniest things in making Shakespeare AUs for Warrior cats is that, beyond the unnervingly well-fitting violence and drama, when humans were fighting in the original play it was either for the honour or their family or for the throne of an entire country when here the cats fight for their family's honour despite all being related and/or for the dubious honour of managing the border patrols of the entire lake/forest, which one might probably go through by foot in one day and still have time for a lunch break. Actually they don't even have the dubious honour of managing the border patrols because that's the role of the deputy. They fight for the power to make their deputy's life hell by giving them four times the usual duty. That's literally the entire deal.
